“The gracious hand of his God was on him, Because Ezra had determined
in his heart to study the law of the LORD, obey it, and teach its
statutes and ordinances in Israel.”
Ezra 7:10 HCSB
Ezra was blessed
by God because he applied these three principles to his life: 1. Study God’s
Word. 2. Obey/apply God’s Word to his personal life. 3. Taught God’s
Word to the people.
I believe for
life changing Bible Study to take place in our Sunday School, and
Small Groups, each one of us must apply these same principles to
our personal lives. I am grateful for all our teaching staff. You
have a tremendous responsibility to declare God’s Word each week
to your students. May God continue to bless you and may life changing
Bible study take place in each class room is my prayer.
Now a word to
you students also… Dr. Steve Bass our State Missionary suggests
answering these 3 questions each time you read, or hear God’s Word
taught. So here they are: 1. What is this passage about? 2. What
is this passage saying to me? 3. What am I going to do because of
it?
These questions
cause us to focus on what God is saying to us, and what God wants
to change in our lives as a result of His Word, which results in
life changing Bible Study.
3 D Sunday School
