MBC Family:

Praise God for His Presence in our lives through Christ. We are delighted God has brought us two families into His family at MBC. God brought the Zonvers, Jude, Steve and Faith back to Yuma. Also God graciously led Chris and Danen O’Brien to our family and their foster son, Michael Corona, to faith in Christ. December has been a wonderful time of celebrating Jesus. Special thank you to Helen Holbrook, WOW, and the church family for giving out 4 food boxes with turkeys in November and 3 in December! Thank you Alex Montoya for your for your generosity in providing the turkeys! Days of challenge have provided opportunities for intentional times of counsel, introspection, and new learning. I am grateful for our Deacons and their leadership for our church to find new depths of unity and focus on Christ and His mission for us.

Our AWANA had 33 clubbers on our Christmas Store Night. Clubbers were encouraged to buy gifts for family with their AWANA bucks. What a great delight and opportunity for learning more about giving to others first rather than just thinking of yourself. I thank God for all of our AWANA leaders/workers.

We look forward to thanking all of our Bible Study teachers and their spouses on January 29th with a special catered meal at our Fellowship Hall. Pastor Ken has arranged for David Francis, Lifeway Bible Study leader/author to be our devotional speaker that evening. David will be leading training Saturday, January 30th, at 8:00am with breakfast being served. The meal and David being here is provided through our Yuma Southern Baptist Association. David will be training us in the “Invite” of 3 Dimensional Body Life.

February 7th we begin two Discipleship Bible Study groups on Sunday evening at 6:15pm. We will have our usual eating time with two new groups. Pastor Ken will be leading a study of the book of James and I will be leading a study of the book of 1 John. Books are $8.00 each and the study will last 13 weeks. We will have break nights on Easter, April 4th and Mother’s Day, May 9th. I pray you will join us as we seek God learning to better invite, discover, and connect to Christ and with each other for HIS GREAT COMMISSION TO BE LIVED OUT IN OUR LIVES TOGETHER. Join us each Sunday evening beginning January 10th for some fun, fellowship, sharing, worship, testimonies and food. Bring someone new to introduce to our family at these more relaxed times together. We begin at 6:15pm on Sunday evenings, keep bringing those delicious meals/snacks/drinks.

Christ has made our lives “new” and given us the task of telling everyone about HIM.
